For the purpose of implementing one of the four operational priorities 2010, the Government has invited different experts, academic representatives, business pundits, analysts of political and economic developments to join the State Progress Council which is to mobilize the community in mapping Lithuania’s route into the near future and building its vision “Lithuania 2030”. The decision to set up the Progress Council was endorsed by the Cabinet meeting earlier today.
"This year we are marking the 20-th anniversary of March 11, which provides a great opportunity to bring people together to reflect on how Lithuania should look in another 20 years. I very much hope that the Progress Council will encourage the people to join in an energetic creative collaboration. If we want to be a good country for all to live, we all have to help create its future", – said Prime Minister Kubilius.
