1976 Finished Plungė secondary school with a gold medal
1981 Studies at the Faculty of Automation of Kaunas Polytechnic Institute; graduated with a degree in electromechanical engineering.
1999 Master‘s degree in Public administration at Kaunas University of Technology.
1981–1985 Appointed engineering and head of technology office at Kaunas “Energoremontas” company.
1985–1990 Chief foreman at the Kaunas industrial complex of training courses.
1989–1990 Production department chief at the Kaunas radio company “Banga”.
1990–1995 Founder and manager of the design studio.
1995–2004 Elected member of the Kaunas Region Municipality Council.
1995–1997 Elected vice-mayor of the Kaunas Region Municipality.
1997–2000 Elected mayor of the Kaunas Region Municipality.
2000–2001 Director of the Regional Development Department of the Kaunas County Governor’s Administration.
2000–2004 Member of the Kaunas Regional Development Council.
2001–2004 Commercial risk director of Kaunas branch of AB “Lietuvos draudimas” and Kaunas Region manager.
2004–2008 elected to the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania at the Kaunas kaimiskoji multi-member constituency No. 66.
2008 re-elected to the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania
